Till Edelmann, native to Germany obtained his ‘Diplom’ in Fashion Design at the Universität der Künste in Berlin, where he attended Vivienne Westwood’s Modeklasse and later acquired work experience at her design studio in London. He then worked as a freelancer for fashion companies while teaching at the UdK.
Serina Baik-Lüders, of Korean- Canadian (first acknowledged her love for garments when she met an Italian courtier in Montreal at 14. She studied under her as her assistant for 2 years), is a graduate of Parsons School of Design and holds a Masters in Textile and Fashion Design from the University of Southampton in cooperation with IFM Paris. Her desire to perfect her design skills lead her to further her studies in Paris at the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture and at the UdK in Berlin where Till and Serina met at Vivienne Westwood’s Modeklasse. She then went on to work as a textile designer and gained work experience at Vivienne Westwood and at John Galliano.
Their designs are influenced by their international experiences and multi-cultural background, which are reflected in their collection.
The desire to challenge typical cut drove them to be inspired to produce innovative cuts, which most importantly must be practical and comfortable. The use of color and fabric are showcased prominently in their designs. They strongly believe that every design piece needs to have elements of fluidity and harmony.
